New Recruit
I initially drew just the American flag. I didn't think of adding anything in front of it until Layla asked what I was gonna put there. So I drew her.
New Portrait
This is the first portrait that I have made using the Wacom. I found this awesome photo of this really old man, who looked so weathered and miserable.

It took the good part of eight years to figure out what i wanted to do with myself, or be when I "grow up". From my first show to my first published work, the journey has been long and much has been sacrificed. The best experience of my life is raising my daughter. The gifts she has brought are numerous and she is incorperated in every part of my life. This is where my journey began, and where it has brought me.
New Digital Paintings
o.k.-- So I was really bored over the weekend, and made some illustrations on photoshop, all digitally painted. They are mostly studies on color, scenery and movement.
I seen stills from the new "Where the Wild Things Are" film, and it got me thinking of painting realistic hair patterns.
Same character, but a little more is going on in this one.I know, it's a little gory, but this one was fun...
I have painted many scenery paintings before, but they were mostly for lighting and color concepts. With this one I wanted to make it as realistic as I could.
This was a color study. I mainly used the linear and dodge brushes to bring out vibrant colors. I went over with the smudge tool to create the fire effect.
